Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented IT Hardware Technician to support and maintain our company’s computer systems and hardware infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing computer hardware, servers, and related equipment. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of IT hardware and providing technical support to users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware-related issues for desktops, laptops, and network devices.
- Set up and maintain IT equipment for new hires and internal moves.
- Perform regular hardware diagnostics and preventive maintenance.
- Manage hardware inventory, asset tagging, and documentation.
- Collaborate with the IT team to support server and network infrastructure.
- Replace or upgrade hardware components such as memory, hard drives, and graphics cards.
- Maintain cable management and hardware setup in server rooms and offices.
- Assist in data backup, recovery, and system upgrades when necessary.
- Provide end-user support and training as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an IT Hardware Technician, IT Support Specialist, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with Windows, MacOS, and basic networking concepts.
- Experience working with servers, storage devices, and peripheral equipment.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A+ Certification or equivalent (preferred).
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
