About the Job: This is a full-time onsite role for a VMC Operator at a leading manufacturing firm. The role involves setting up and operating Vertical Machining Centers to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols to determine machining requirements.
• Program, edit, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software.
• Select cutting tools, tool holders, and fixtures necessary for machining operations.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust parameters to maintain quality and productivity.
• Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Document all production activities for reference.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in machining preferred.
• Proven experience as a VMC Operator with proficiency in CNC machines.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and cutting parameters.
• Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code.
• Experience with CAM software for programming and simulation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
